Welcome To My Family Journal

Do you ever wonder what Deb and the boys are up to these days? Well look no further, you can keep up with us here!

As most of you know, I am being stationed in Italy in mid December for a three year tour. I will be working as a labor and delivery nurse at a very tiny hospital in Sigonella which is on the isle of Sicily (at the very bottom of Italy). We are very excited about this and hope to do lots of traveling around Europe. My couch is open to anyone who wants to visit (hint, hint).

I check out of my command here in Portland, Oregon on the 15th of November and will begin a three week trip across the country. I hope to fit in as much family as possible but I don't have much time. Below is my itinerary so far. I have had to change it a little bit. The cats are no longer coming with us. After a lot of painful deliberation, I decided to find them new owners. It was going to cost over $1000 to ship them as well as major headache and stress for everyone involved. I found a neat family with lots of kids for my young male cat and a retired couple for my 14 year old cat. I hope they will be happy.

16 NOV (3:51pm) Arrive Phoenix
16-20 NOV Stay with Mom in Flagstaff, AZ
20 NOV (7:15am) Fly out of Phoenix to Chicago
20 NOV (2:12 pm) Arrive Chicago
20-26 NOV Stay with Gayle in Woodridge, IL
26 NOV Drive to Anna, IL (6 hour trip)
26-28 NOV Stay with Dad in Anna
28 NOV Drive to Atlanta (start late evening 6 hour trip, hotel for night)
29 NOV - Breakfast with Kayla and Sharon
29 NOV Drive to Gainesville, FL (start morning 6 hour trip)
29-30 NOV Spend night with Kim in Chiefland, FL
30 NOV Drive to Leesburg (3 hour trip - late evening)
30 NOV 3 DEC Stay at Dad?s house
02 DEC Seth's one year birthday!!!!
03 DEC (6 am) Fly to Norfolk, VA
04 DEC Fly to Italy, Cheryl flying (separately) to Italy

I don't envy you. I hate moving. It has been snowing here off and on for two weeks. The mountains look beautiful with the snow. Can't wait to see you and the boys.
