Hey Dad, are you back?
Hey Dad, are you back from your show yet? How did it go? Are you guys freezing your butts off yet?
Grandma, I am glad that Dad and Doris got to visit with you and Bill. I would really love to get out to the camp in PA one of these days. Tell Bill we said hello.
My mom had some structural damages to her house thanks to the last hurricane but has been able to get some help from FEMA. How is everyone else's property there in FL?
We are very busy here gearing up for birthday and holiday season! Sicily is getting a might chilly but I am happy to report that it never gets stinking cold. Fall is a really nice switch from the ungodly heat we normally have during the summers. I am really not a big fan of 117 degree weather. I could never live in the States where it is like that!
Grandma, I am taking your encouragement and diving into writing a novel. You will not likely read it though. For the last four years, the month of November has been designated as National Novel Writing Month, (NaNoWriMo). It is just for fun and a way to light a fire under the buttocks of those who keep wishing they could be writers. It is actually a contest but the goal is 50,000 words written during the month of November. The writing is never even read nor judged to take the pressure off to create a masterpiece (which causes terrible procrastination and writer's block). So I signed up for it yesterday but as of this minute, I have no idea what I will be writing about. I am going to start tonight.
Along the lines of writing, Eli now has an email address. I let him use the internet about once a week. He got the email address about a month ago and so far has emailed with the next door neighbor boy (his age). Way too cute. I think he would fall over in amazement and pleasure if other people emailed him besides the neighbor boy and me. So far I have emailed him jokes about boogers. A sneaky side note to the email business is that I think it will really help him with his writing. He has an amazing grasp of language but he has struggled (as we all do) in school with grammar and spelling. I do read all of his emails before he does to make sure he isn?t getting spam or something inappropriate. I guess the real mommy struggle will be deciding when to stop reading his email. He is aware that I actively monitor his internet use and knows that I will continue to do so. His email address is iamrobopenguin@yahoo.com (and no, I did not help him pick that out, hahahahahahahaa).

Debbie...I'm sure you could write a very interesting book. That is so cute about Eli. I will pass it on to the kids and he can get some
e-mail from them too and me

Hi Deb,
Went to New York for a show 3 weeks ago and spent all this last week in Philadelphia at the really biggie show. Leave for my last show, which is in Washington, D.C., in one week. Then that's all for this year.
Woo Hoo for Eli. Will be sending him an e-mail with an attachment soon as I can find the photo.
Love ya
Good luck with the novel. Allways wanted to do something like that myself.
