Ahhh poo poo

Here we go. We were supposed to leave tomorrow on a trip to Illinois by taking the military "hop". We would have connected with a civilian flight from Virginia to Chicago but tonight when I called to check on the flight (always a good idea), it was cancelled. AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! It is apparently broken down in Bahrain. I am sure the person on the phone noted my distress because she said "you can try calling in the morning to see if there are any changes". Wahhhhhhh. This means I have to go change the civilian tickets and pray that we then get out on Tuesday because the next available flight is the following Sunday. There is a reason that these flights only cost ten bucks. You pay for the rest of it with blood, sweat and tears.

No matter what, we will have a good time though. We are going to go "camping" (should really say "cabin-ing" in a place called Giant City down in Southern Illinois with my sister and her family. My dad and stepmother live there in Cobden, so we will get to see them too. Then, on the drive back up to Chicago land, I have marked several places, such as Lincoln's cabin in Springville, to do. Much to Eli's delight, the boys are going to a White Sox game.

We just have to get there. Positive thoughts please.
