Nothing to report
I have put up a temporary page for my sister. You can see it at Kim Hart Designs. She has a guestbook and would love to hear from you. She also now has a mailing list that she will use to let people know when the real site goes up and then later when there are updates. You will see the sign up link on her temporary page too. As a treat to tide people over she has put some new glass into her Gallery. Go look!
I keep thinking that I will make a post when I finish this baby sweater but then I realize that it doesn't matter because I won't be able to post a picture anyway. I am definitely submitting it for the Summer Knitty men's issue - it looks so sweet - very masculine yet elegant at the same time (gotta love that fleur de lis pattern). This is the first time I have written down a pattern for something more complicated than a bag. I am fairly certain that I have knit the thing twice with all the ripping and redoing. Shaping the sleeves has been an excellent learning experience in which type of decrease will look the nicest. I am nearly done - hopefully this week, which will be just in time for the wee one's arrival. His name is going to be Garrett and thus, so will the sweater's name be. Typing out the pattern will be a whole other matter. Right now it exists on EIGHT pages in pink ink in one of my eight year old's notebooks. I knit a bit and write a bit. And then rip a bit and rewrite alot. It looks much worse than it really is. I am praying that the baby it is intended for will be big enough to model it before the deadline. Otherwise, I will have to boy-ify the cherub girly next door and fake it.
