Truly Delight-ful Pattern

My family and I planned to spend the afternoon/evening with Wendy and her family to watch the festa of Saint Agata (you can read more on my main blog). I knew it would be chilly, so I decided to whip up one of Wendy's Delight hats for my littlest one, Seth. Seth and Wendy's daughter Melly are buddies (with rivalry thrown in) and Melly already has a Delight or two.

The pattern was really fast - all you need is one longish movie to complete it. I forgot to ask Wendy if I was the first to complete the pattern since she posted it, LOL. I wanna be first dangit! Anyway, after a small crisis that involved my concrete thinking and binding off, I finished it just in the nick of time (literally one hour before we left).

I am going to do the pattern again for my other boys and also me. I think next time I am going to widen the fleur de lis part so the hat comes down over our ears when the garter brim is folded up.

And thanks to the bastages (thanks for that new word Wendy) that continually vomit comment spam, I have instituted a security code that you have to type in prior to posting your comment. For some reason, I can't get it to work on the comment section, so after you hit "submit", you will see an error message. Simply type the security code in that you see and resend. I will eventually figure out what is wrong but until then, forgive the inconvenience in the name of comment spam erradication.
