The weather has been very Spring-like around here so...

I dumped my winter project list! I do feel guilty about the purple sweater that the front is finished on. I may pick that back up later this summer.

But I started the coolest sweater using Sirdar Silky Look in willow. I bought 10 balls last year. It is the same yarn I used with two baby sweaters (except in cream), so I already knew how much I loved working with it. My only complaint is that it is three threads twined and splits super easy when you are knitting two stitches together.

Anyway, I found this really beautiful sweater pattern at Crystal Palace called "Italian Tee Shirt". I have not been very adventurous with different stitches and this looked like my perfect opportunity. It looks FABULOUS! The picture below does not do it any justice though. It has this really neat raised triangle texture from the "flame chevron". As cool as it looks, it is a real pain in the patoot. Definitely not mindless knitting. I have to rabidly count every five stitches and then count the entire row at least once every couple of rows. I made some mistakes early on but I decided to just keep plugging on and use this panel for the back (the mistake is near the bottom and it affects the entire row). Of course, I am the only one that will know but *I KNOW*.

Here is a close-up of the stitch:
